Quandry Peak stands at 14,265 feet, making it the tallest mountain in the Tenmile range. I decided it would make an excellent second fourteener, as it requires no technical climbing and is among the more popular fourteeners to climb.
The weather was ideal, 27 degrees and calm at the start of the hike. This made for a much more pleasant experience than my previous weekend atop Mount Bierstadt, during which frostbite seemed a legitimate concern. The biggest difficulty was hiking off-trail to avoid some obstinate mountain goats.
